A Memorial Service for Sherry Earline Maples of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 6:00 pm, Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Tad Rogers officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until time of service.
Sherry passed away November 7, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 65. She was born November 2, 1948, in New Albany, Indiana, the daughter of Earl and Jean Gooch Wilson. She married Lex Maples on October 14, 1977 at W. Louisville, Kentucky. She owned and operated Sherry Maples Insurance for 25 years. Sherry lived in Mountain Home 14 years moving from Hilton Head, South Carolina. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and spending time with her puppies; Sophie, Lily and Jack.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Lex Maples of Mountain Home, AR; sister, Sparkie Miner of New Orleans, LA; niece, Sarah Skinner of Bowling Green, KY, two nephews, John Skinner of Murfreesboro, TN and Jay Skinner of Houston, TX and her special friends, Gabrielle Cook of Little Rock, AR and Karen Daniels of Bowling Green, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
