A Funeral Service for Shirley Joanne Barnett of Flippin, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Bob Crawford officiating, Mountain Home, Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
Shirley passed away August 20, 2013, in Flippin, Arkansas at the age of 75. She was born November 4, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of John and Christine Chermak. She worked as a mail room clerk for International Harvester. Shirley lived in Flippin for 20 years moving from Oaklawn, Illinois. She enjoyed bowling, fishing and spending time with her family and friends.
Shirley is survived by her six grandchildren, Nicole Fitzer of Quinton, OK, Dawn (Daniel) Herring of Quinton, OK, Christian Barnett of Nashville, TN, Nicholas Barnett of Nashville, TN, Marisa Barnett of Nashville, TN and Riley Barnett of Nashville, TN; six great-grandchildren, Elijah Fitzer, Isaiah Fitzer, Josiah Fitzer, Mason Herring, Malachi Herring and Maddox Herring and brother, Jack (Marge) Chermak.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kent Barnett and son, Brian Barnett.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
