Funeral Services for Shirley Jean Dykstra of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Friday, April 19, 2013 at Amos Family Funeral Home Chapel in Shawnee, Kansas. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of service.
Shirley passed away April 15, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 75. She was born September 25, 1937, in Bakersfield, California, the daughter of Ted and Alfredda Combs Rhoades. She married Edward Dykstra on February 22, 1988, at Mountain Home, Arkansas and was a homemaker. Shirley lived in Mountain Home since 1987, moving from Belton, MO. She loved her family and enjoyed fishing the lakes and rivers and traveling.
Shirley is survived by her two sons, Jonny Wilson of Belton, MO and Chris Wilson of Belton, MO; daughter, Pam Wilson of Mountain Home, AR; sister, Bertha (Jim) Whitesell of Mountain Home, AR; her mother, Alfredda Rhoades of Mountain Home, AR and two granddaughters, Cierra Drake and Nicole Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her father and husband.
Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Kansas.
