A Graveside Service for Shirley Healea of Russellville, Arkansas, will be 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Reverend Randy Ludwig officiating.
Shirley passed away November 10, 2018, in Russellville, Arkansas, at the age of 88. She was born September 16, 1930, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur and Mabel Fitzwater. She married Gerald Healea on June 6, 1948, in Chesterville, Ohio. While living in Norfork, Arkansas, she volunteered to work several days a week at the Norfork Community Care Program Food Pantry. She was a traditional homemaker and learned to be a great cook, famous among family and friends from Memphis to Norfork for her homemade noodles and coconut cake. Late in her life, when she moved to Brookdale Assisted Living, she continued to bake cakes for the residents and family. The family wishes to thank the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home for their compassion and support in taking care of Shirley during her last days.
Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Diana Ramsey (Walter) of Russellville, AR and Sherry Efird (Steve) of Malvern, AR. She also leaves behind four grandchildren and their families, Jason Ramsey (Heather) of Russellville, AR,and their children Reagan, Dylan and Davis, Kathryn (Ramsey) Sammons (Brian) and their child Sage of Golden, CO, Brian Efird (Sarah) of Winston-Salem, NC and their children Maggie, Lila and Michael Efird (Emily) and their children Preston, Ashton and Charlea of Rogers, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
