Shirley Jean Lambert

Shirley Jean Lambert, a beloved nurse and resident of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away July 22, 2024, in Harrison, Arkansas at the age of 81. Her journey began on April 24, 1943, in Kennett, Missouri, where she was welcomed into the world by her parents, Ira Lambert and Lurline Fuller Dearing. Shirley relocated from Kennett, Missouri to Mountain Home, Arkansas in 1976. She was an RN charge nurse at Baxter Regional Medical Center for over 20 years and loved serving in the health care industry. She excelled in serving as a preceptor to mentor and train the new nurses. In 2007, Shirley retired from BRMC and opened Holistic Cleansing, as an alternative health care nurse. She enjoyed camping, boating, sock hop, rock and roll, dancing, and cooking. Her compassionate care as a nurse touched countless lives, bringing comfort and healing to those in need.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Robin Keating of Mountain Home, AR; brother, Gary (Eve) Lambert, Sr. of Mountain Home, AR; nieces and nephews, Cherri Lyn Fuchs, Gina Wren Farkas, Gary Lambert, II, Gerimy Lambert, and Kevin Oldham; those she loved as her own daughters, Jana Cowgill, Joanna Hill, Louise Blackmon, Jessica Kirby, Martha Gregory, Angie Green, and Brenda McDonald; her cats, and her German Shepherd, Hachi, always there to protect her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lurline Fuller Dearing; father, Ira Lambert; father, Weldon Dearing; sister, Sharon Oldham; and loving grandparents, William H. and Ila D. Fuller. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 24, 2024, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service for Shirley will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Bill Hughes officiating. The Nurse's Honor Guard will provide a tribute to Shirley's years of health care service. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, AR, with Jed Cowgill, Doug Fuller, Jason Kirby, and David Hopper as pallbearers.
