Shirley Ann Shepard

Shirley Ann Shepard of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away November 22, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 69. She was born August 14, 1952, in Oakland, California, the daughter of Robert and Geraldine Pitts Bownds. She married Donald on October 10, 1970, in Vallejo, California and worked as a Dispatch Operator for League City Police Department, League City, Texas. Shirley lived in Mountain Home since moving from Texas in 2007. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mountain Home, Beta Sigma Phi since 1978, and the Foresters in 1976. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and was an Extension Homemaker.

Shirley is survived by her mother, Geraldine Bownds, Hayward, CA; husband, Donald Lewis Shepard, Jr. of Mountain Home, AR; daughters, Serina A. Shepard of Austin, TX, Jennifer Johnson; brothers, Robert L Bownds of Hayward, CA, Alan W Bownds Hayward, TX, Brian Keith (Donna) Bownds of Temple, TX; grandchildren, Anthony Shepard, and Dakota Shepard; and a great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm, January 22, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church of Mountain Home with Reverend Daniel Thueson officiating. Due to current restrictions, masks are required.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
