Simon Buga

Funeral Services for Simon Joseph Buga of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 1:00 PM Friday, January 28, 2011 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Deacon Richard Linstad officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service. Simon died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 98. He was born October 29, 1912 in Kaunas, Lithuania, the son of Norbert and Celemona Vanagas Buga. He married Jean Watra, December 4, 1971 at Chicago, Illinois. He lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1977 moving from Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Simon is survived by 2 sons, Vytavtas Buga of Round Lake Beach, IL and Al Buga of Chicago, IL; 1 daughter, Ruth Moskaluk of South Elgin, IL; 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Judes Hospital or Baxter Adult Day Care. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
