Stanley Maynard Bauer

October 6, 1950 — August 22, 2013

Stanley "Paul" Maynard Bauer, age 62, of Hampstead, Maryland and Flippin, Arkansas began his new life in Christ on August 22, 2013 at the John McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born in Faribault, Minnesota, Paul was the son of the late Clarence and Ina Bare Bauer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara "Claudia" Bauer, brother, Michael Bauer, and son, Justin Bauer. He married Dorothy Varvaris Henry on July 28, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Westminster, MD. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his sons, Nathan Bauer of Golden Valley, MN and Michael Bauer and his wife Sarah of Oakdale, MN; daughter, Jessica Coleman and her husband Jeff of Kimberling City, MO; step-sons Ralph Henry and his financee Kate Levy of Alexandria, VA, and Adam Henry and his wife Keri of Glen Arm, MD; daughter-in-law Marcy Stewart of Fargo, ND; brother Rick Bauer of Owatonna, MN; three sisters, Linda Balfe and her husband Gary of Albert Lea, MN, Janet Bauer of Owatonna, MN, and Cindy Dickerson and her husband Carl of Manchester, WA; sister-in-law, Lavinda Bauer of Austin, MN; and four grandchildren, Steven Bauer of Eveleth, MN, Alex Bauer of Golden Valley, MN, Kaiden Bauer of Golden Valley, MN and Elizabeth Bauer of Fargo, ND.

Paul was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He attended Winona State University in Winona, MN where he earned his BA degree; later he worked as a printer. Paul was a member of Church On The Rock in Yellville, AR and St. John's Lutheran Church in Hampstead, MD. A Christian man of strong faith, he journeyed through his life with his Lord. Praising and worshiping the Lord with his family and church families was among his greatest joys in life. He enjoyed writing, painting, and fishing.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 21st at 11:00 AM at Christian Family Church, 2300 Heritage Place NW in Owatonna, Minnesota. Pastor Luverne Zacharias will officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
