Stanley Bitout died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in Lakeview at the age of 79. He was born Friday, September 27, 1929 in Westville, Illinois, the son of Joseph and Anna Tarvinitas Bitout. He married Elaine J. Hess on January 26, 1952 at Chicago, Illinois and was an engineer the for Sunbeam Corp. Stanley Bitout was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and Korea. Stanley lived in Lakeview since 1989 moving from Norridge, Illinois. He was lifetime member of Bull Shoals VFW and 50 year member of the American Legion. Past president of the "Retired Fisherman's Club" in Bull Shoals 1991-1992 and "Ancient & Honorable Company of Blue Noses" for crossing the Arctic Circle. He was a sports fan, a golfer and a bowler. He was an avid gardner, enjoyed the outdoors, fishing the lake and river. Survivors: Stanley Bitout is survived by his wife, Elaine Bitout and daughter, Cheryl (Jerry) Antolak of Midway, AR, 2 sisters, Martha (Stan) Prezette of Park Ridge, IL and Ann Unitis of Oak Lawn, IL. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M., Thursday, March 12 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: A funeral mass for Stanley A. "Stan" Bitout of Lakeview, AR, will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 13, 2009 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, with Reverend Charles Kanu and Deacon Richard Linstad officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or Hospice of the Ozarks.
