Visitation for Stanley Krawczyk of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 5:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Entombment will be private in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum with military honors by the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 Honor Guard.
Stanley passed away August 12, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 85. He was born January 1, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Stanley and Ann Kouba Krawczyk. Married in Chicago, Illinois at 23 years old, four children were born. He then married Twyla Krawczyk on January 4, 1991, at Geneva, Illinois and worked as a Steel Rule Die Maker. Stanley was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He lived in Mountain Home since January of 1991, moving from Elburn, Illinois. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed model railroading, building and flying his radio controlled airplanes, woodcarving, his laptop and jig saw puzzles for the past three years.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Twyla Krawczyk of Mountain Home, AR, four children, Nancy (Mike) Grove of Palos Heights, IL, Edward (Glenna) Krawczyk of Palos Heights, IL, Patricia (Robert) Lopez of Elgin, IL and Robert Krawczyk of Chicago, IL; three step-children, Michael (Valerie) Bailey of Elburn, IL, Richard Bailey of Rochelle, IL and Brenda (Ken) Evans of Sycamore, IL; sister, Donna (Jerry) Drobilek of Lindenhurst, IL; 14 grandchildren, Eddie Krawczyk, Andrea (Ryan) Green, Thomas Krawczyk, Michael and Matthew Lopez, Danielle Helmlinger, Anthony and Matthew Bailey, Jennifer (David) Simmons, Nicole (Matt) Wright, Lauren and Christian Bailey, Christopher and Amanda Evans; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-fathers, John Horak and Ed Schutte; sister, Delores Strutz and grandchild, Caitlyn Rose Bailey.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Building or General Funds or Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will benefit from his pacemaker that will be donated to them.
