Sue Carol Thurman

A Graveside Service for Sue Carol Thurman of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, June 5, 2015, at Walnut Hill Cemetery, with Reverend Lynn Beck officiating.

Sue passed away June 1, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 75. She was born February 26, 1940, in Arlington, Texas, the daughter of Alfanzo and Ruth Owen Pierce. She married David on February 26, 1959, at Arlington, Texas. Sue lived in Mountain Home since moving from Moore, Oklahoma, in 1998. She was a member and past president of the Smith-Johnson VFW Post #5742 Woman's Auxiliary in Cotter, Arkansas.

Sue is survived by her three sons, Danny (Betty Jo) Thurman of Gassville, AR, Rusty (Joyce) Thurman of Mountain Home, AR, and Tracy (Karen) Thurman of Mountain Home, AR; nine grandchildren, Jonathan, Shon, Marcus, David, Kelly, Travis, Rebecca, Jeffrey, and Jamie; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Ann (Joe) Ross of Moore, OK; nephews, Kelly Aarons of Arlington, TX and Terry Aarons of Arlington, TX; and two nieces, Terry Austin of Lake Eufala, OK and Tammy Burnam of Moore, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Barbara Pierce.

Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, Cotter, Arkansas, with Tracy Thurman, Rusty Thurman, Jonathan Thurman, David Thurman, and Marcus Thurman as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Arkansas.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
