A Remembrance of Life Memorial Service for Susan Christine Hoffmann of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Randy Ludwig officiating. Susan passed away November 9, 2012, at Good Samaritan in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 102. She was born February 7, 1910, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Nicholas and Susan Zepp Kolb. She was a comptometer operator, and married Frank Hoffmann on August 28, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois. She and Frank lived in Chicago and later in Evanston until 1985, when Frank passed away. Abput four years later Sue moved to Port Charlotte,Florida, where she volunteered weekly at Fawcett Hospital. Susan moved to Mountain Home in 2001 for health reasons and to be near family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Sue enjoyed making hats, baking, playing cards, and caring for her family. Her family was fortunate to have her in their lives for so long, but she will be greatly missed by all. Susan is survived by her daughter, Susan (Sperry) Storm of Mountain Home, AR; three grandchildren, Kathleen (Chris) Carr, Michael Welby, and Susan (Jeff) Bennett; one great-granddaughter, Margaret Bennett; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, all of her siblings, and in-laws. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Backpack or Weekend Meals Programs or Hospice of the Ozarks. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
