Thelma Marie Tate (nee Whitlow), age 95, born May 2, 1929, to Francis Lee Whitlow and Ruby Brown Whitlow in Egypt, AR, passed on September 11, 2024, in Mountain Home, AR. She was married August 6, 1947, to the love of her life, Nathan Eugene Tate, for 53 years. A wife, mother, and friend, she was a woman filled with life, love, and laughter. Her family and home meant everything to her. There was always a child in her lap or a rescue pet happily lying at her feet. She loved her gardens, especially her red roses. Never forgetting a birthday, anniversary, or a joyous occasion, she was also there to offer comfort in times of sadness or illness. She was famous for her fried chicken, lasagna, and coconut cream pie. She was happiest when she prepared a delicious meal and was surrounded by her family at the dining room table. Her faith in God sustained her through all the wonderful times and sad times she experienced throughout her lifetime.

Thelma is survived by her son, Larry (Mary) Tate; daughter, Carolyn Tate; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Tate; her precious step-brothers and sisters; grandchildren, KC (Carrie) Driscoll, Ryan Tate, Kristin Tate, Shannon Tate, Chanc (Devin) Amis, Tara Herbert, and Teresa Herbert; great grandchildren, Eli, Aggie, Jameson, Finleigh, Everleigh, Brady, Aiden, McCoy, and Sutton; her beloved nephews and nieces; close family friends, Lyle Martin, Carol Haney, and Deb Chobar; her little dog friend, Ozzie; and her adored cat, Andy.
