Memorial graveside services for Theodore "Ted" Ortlip of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 27, 2009 at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, with Dr. Fred Taylor officiating.
Mr. Ortlip died Sunday, November 22, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 85. He was born Saturday, November 22, 1924 in Union City, Indiana, son of Ralph and Gertrude Smith Ortlip. He married Dorothy J. Rammel on June 11, 1950 at Lawrenceburg, Indiana and worked as an Industrial Engineer for ITT. Ted was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Ted lived in Mountain Home since 1986 moving from Angola, Indiana. He enjoyed golfing.
Ted Ortlip is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. Ortlip, 3 sons, Fred (Rory) Ortlip of St. Louis, MO, Alan (Cathy) Ortlip of Denver, CO and Russ (Diane) Ortlip of Ballwin, MO, and 4 grandchildren, Eric, Keith, Valerie and Allison.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Alan L. Ortlip.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, AR.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas, Baxter Regional Auxiliary or charity of choice.
