A Celebration of Life for Thomas L. "Grumpy" Evans of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery Scattering Gardens, with Pastor Vince Daniel officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lee Evans, James Evans, Charles Wood, and Mark Wetstein.
Tom passed away March 30, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 62. He was born June 17, 1953, in Joliet, Illinois, the son of Alfred and Eleanor Linder Evans. He married Betty Henkel on January 15, 1972, at Joliet, Illinois and was a Millwright for 40 years. Tom lived in Mountain Home since moving from Lakeland, Florida, in 2002. He enjoyed building remote control airplanes, woodworking, hunting, fishing, and building things for his grandchildren.
Tom is survived by his wife, Betty Evans of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, Lee (Misti) Evans of Lakeland, FL and James (Carol) Evans of South Windsor, CT; two brothers, Charles (Jenny) Wood of San Antonio, TX and Alfred Evans of Joliet, IL; sister, JoAnn Greenberg of Mountain Home, AR; five grandchildren, Lucas, Marialice, Penelope, Delani, and Chance; special niece, Debbie (Mark) Wetstein of Mountain Home, AR; brother-in-law, Dan (Marlene) Henkel of Wicki Wachee, FL; three sisters-in-law, Cindy Rogers of Mountain Home, AR; Laurie Crumpley of Mountain Home, AR; and Sandy (Steve) Cunningham of Dundee, OH; and his two dogs, Cody and Sparky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and sister.
