Thomas Frank Fiala was born September 29, 1925, in Riverside, Illinois. He was the son of Henry and Clara Zenz Fiala. He was a registered nurse and retired after twenty-six years from Hines V.A. Hospital in Maywood, Illinois. Mr. Fiala was a World War II Veteran and Vietnam Veteran. From 1943 until 1946 he was a Corpsman in the United States Army, from 1952 until 1956, he was a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, and from 1956 until 1985 he was an active United States Air Force Reserves Flight Nurse and Medical Crew Chief. He lived in Naperville, Illinois prior to moving to Mountain Home, Arkansas in 1999. He was a lifetime member of VFW Ozark Post #3246, AEROMED EVAC Association, and the China Burma India Association. He was also a member of the Midway Volunteer Fire Protection District, Retired Military Association, and NOVA. Thomas Frank Fiala passed away on April 5, 2005, at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 6 days. Survivors: His wife, Nora Bless of Mountain Home, Arkansas; one daughter, Marsha (Roy) Rasmussen of Federal Way, Washington; four grandchildren, Inger (Matt) Rasmussen of Seattle, Washington, Jon Rasmussen of Denver, Colorado, Jeremy Grazzini of Chicago, Illinois and EM3, Steven Grazzini, USN, Goose Creek, South Carolina and one brother, Robert Fiala of Brookfield, Illinois Preceded in Death by: Two daughters, Susan Fiala and Jan Grazzini and one brother, Hank Fiala Visitation: 5:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, April 8, 2005 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Funeral: 3:00 P.M., Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Bob Crawford officiating.
