Thomas Rex Flippin died Saturday, May 17, 2008 in Little Rock at the age of 64. Thomas Flippin was born Saturday, June 26, 1943 in Gassville, AR, the son of Vernon D. and Pauline J. Bayless Flippin. He worked as a Medical Tech for Baxter Regional Medical Center and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Thomas was a lifetime resident of Cotter. He was a member of Masons, Yellville Lodge and the Elks. Survivors: Thomas Flippin is survived by his son, Thomas Shane Flippin of Cotter, AR, daughter, Tammy J. (Stacey) Treat of Wilkesboro, NC, step daughter, Gabriella (Mikey) Corales of Mountain Home, AR and 5 grandchildren, Mason Patrick White, Sheldon Thomas White, Shanna Grace Flippin, Mikey Corales and Carlie Corales. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Colleen and 1 brother. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M., Wednesday, May 21 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral: Funeral services for Thomas Rex Flippin of Cotter, AR, will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Rand Ludwig officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, Cotter, AR with Military Honors by the North Central Arkansas Veterans Council, Alley White American Legion Post #52 Honor Guard. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
