Thomas Franz Mullen was born May 16, 1933, at Owego, New York, to Theodore and Martha Franz Mullen. He married Glenna Tippett on May 6, 1972 at Altamonte Springs, Florida. Mr. Mullen was a plant engineer for General Electric and a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He lived in Cotter since moving from Altamonte Springs, Florida in 1991. He enjoyed his grandchildren and computers. He was an avid news watcher and enjoyed watching football, Nascar and other sports. He was of Catholic faith. Thomas Franz Mullen died Monday, August 14, 2006 at his residence. Survivors: He is survived by his wife Glenna Mullen of Cotter; one daughter, Alysse (John) McDonald of Mountain Home; one son, Timothy (Sheri) Watson of Trinidad, Colorado; five grandchildren, Chase Thomas, Ross Matthew, Kristi, Cassidy and Lance; several cousins; and special friends, Trieneke Shrable, Sarah Dover and Lee Roy Anglin. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 15 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral services for Thomas Franz Mullen, 73, of Cotter will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 16 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Mo Mosley officiating. Burial: Burial will be in Tippett Cemetery in Greenup, Illinois. Memorials: Memorials may be made to Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation. Honorary Bearers: Honorary pallbearers will be Bud, Tad, Jeff, Randy and Mike Hutton.
