Funeral services for Thomas William Runowski will be at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 3:00 PM with Deacon Paul Poulosky officiating. Thomas was born July 18, 1942 at Chicago, Illinois the son of Chester and Alice Kosenjons Runowski. He married JoAnn Bartelt at Elgin, Illinois on November 23, 1968 and had resided in the Lakeview area since moving from West Chicago in 2004. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 42 years as a conductor and brakeman switchman. He was of the Catholic faith and loved deer hunting, fishing and boating . He was preceded in death by his Father and is survived by; his wife, JoAnn Runowski of Mountain Home; 2 sons, Eric (Joanna) Runowski of Streamwood, Illinois and Mike (Kelly) Runowski of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; 5 Grandchildren; 2 Great Granddaughters; Mother, Alice Runowski of Mountain Home; 2 brothers, John (Lucinda) Runowski of Springfield, Missouri and Richard (Beth) Runowski of Perkins, Oklahoma. Memorials can be made to Cancer Society or Diabetes Assoc. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
