Thomas Emmett Ryan III

A Funeral Service for Thomas Emmett Ryan, III of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, with Deacon Richard Linstad officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 1:00 pm until service time, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.

Thomas passed away June 13, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80. He was born March 8, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Griffin Ryan. He married Dolores Hauck on September 30, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois and was a Lieutenant with the Chicago Fire Department. Thomas was a U.S. Army National Guard veteran. Thomas lived in Mountain Home since moving from Chicago, Illinois, in 1984. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and woodworking. He was an all-around craftsman who enjoyed making knives.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Dolores Ryan of Mountain Home, AR; son, Thomas (Caron) Ryan of Budd Lake, NJ; sister, Elizabeth Liesz of Schaumburg, IL; and three grandchildren, Thomas Ryan, Jr., Dylan Ryan, and Blake Ryan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Robert Liesz.
