Thomas Torgersen

Thomas Allen Torgersen was born February 13, 1933, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Raymond Alvin and Anita Marie Buchholz Torgersen. He graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill with a BA Degree in Political Science and married Mary B. Bryan on December 28, 1953 at Nutle, New Jersey. He retired from the US Air Force as Lieutenant Colonel after 25 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He moved to Mountain Home in 1977 from Blytheville, Arkansas and married Lois Kathryn Proctor on March 27, 1998. He was a volunteer for Hospice and Advocates for the Elderly and was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Mr. Torgersen passed away in Mountain Home on April 30, at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 17 days. Survivors: 2 Sons, Keith A. Torgersen of Florence, South Carolina, Raymond A.
