A Funeral Service for Thomas L. Vann of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Saturday, December 21, 2013, at the East Side Baptist Church, with Dr. Chris Butler officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 20, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Tom passed away December 15, 2013, in Louisville, Kentucky at the age of 73. He was born August 10, 1940, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of C.A. and Mary Lillian Vann. He married Carol Thomas on May 21, 1960, at Toledo, Ohio and owned and operated Plaza Cleaner's. Tom lived in Mountain Home since 1983, moving from Toledo, Ohio. He was a faithful member of the East Side Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His family was the light of his world. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and fellowshipping with his church family..
Tom is survived by his wife, Carol Vann of Mountain Home, AR, two sons, Scott (Penny) Vann of Mountain Home, AR and Kent (Alesia) Vann of Acworth, GA; son-in-law, Steve Corey of Louisville, KY; eight grandchildren, Lindsey (Adam) Haltuch, Tyler Corey, Jamie (Dorie) Webber, Ryan Vann, Ashley Vann, Chris Vann, Madelyn Vann and Vinson Johns; five great-grandchildren and one sister, Mildred (Merle) Caswell of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother and a loving daughter, Terri Lynne Corey.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to East Side Baptist Church Children's Building or the Mountain Home Christian Clinic.
