A Celebration of Life for Thomas Richard Vetten of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Heather Marsalis, Celebrant officiating.

Thomas passed away December 13, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80. He was born March 9, 1936, in Sheboygan, WIsconsin, the son of Richard and Marie Vetten. He married Barbara Groth on March 16, 1957, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin and worked in food sales. Thomas was a U.S. Army veteran during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Thomas lived in Mountain Home since 1996, moving from Arlington, Texas. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1714 BPOE for 49 years and enjoyed golfing and loved boating and fishing on the lake.

Thomas is survived by his two sons, Scott (Brenda) Vetten of Fort Worth, TX and Charles Vetten of Arlington, TX; brother, Harvey Vetten of Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law, Carol Groth; longtime companion, Karen Parashis; two grandchildren, Scott Vetten II and Chase (Kennedy) Vetten and four great-grandchildren, Scott Vetten III, Zander Vetten, Layla Vetten and Brooklyn Vetten.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Memorials may be made to Elks Lodge #1714 BPOE.
