Tom Leland Weed of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away January 15, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 86. He was born December 22, 1937, in Glendale, California, the son of Stanley "Bob Baker" and Murl Evelyn McCauley Weed. Tom was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He married Betty Fultz on November 8, 1958, in Rimrock, Arizona, and was a professional meat cutter for over 50 years. Tom lived in Mountain Home since moving from El Jebel, Colorado, in 2003. Tom and his wife, Betty, owned Twisted Sisters secondhand and antique store on the square in Mountain Home for 7 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Tom was a generous man and spent time knitting hats for those in need.
Tom is survived by his son, Michael (Celia) Weed of Mountain Home, AR; daughters, Kathe Cardinal of Memphis, TN, and Teresa Kelly of Snowmass Village, CO; grandchildren, Sheila Daily and James Powell; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lorraine Weed; parents, and two brothers.
