Tony Harmon was born September 17, 1911, in Virden, Illinois. He was the son of Matthew and Anna Sheper Harmon. He married Gladys Crabb, March 30, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois. He was a welder, employed with Western Electric forty-two years and was a member of Telephone Pioneers. Mr. Harmon lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since moving from Cicero, Illinois, in 1972. He was a professional wrestler from 1935-1938 and served as First Alternate on the Berlin, Germany 1936 Olympic Wrestling Team. He was of Catholic faith. Tony Harmon died Monday, March 6, 2006, at his residence, at the age of 94 years, 5 months and 19 days.
