Troy King

Troy Marvin King, Sr. was born August 4, 1932 at Lookout, Kentucky to Samuel and Della Courtney King. He married Mary Vickers at Montgomery, West Virginia on January 22, 1951. He worked as a plant supervisor for Leavitt Tube in Chicago and Mississippi, and retired after 35 years. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean war. He had lived in this area since 1997 moving from Madison, Mississippi. He was a member of the American Legion Post #52, the Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953, Korean War Veterans and the Twin Lakes Marines. He died October 8, 2007 at the age of 75. Survivors: Mr. King is survived by his wife, Mary King of Mountain Home; three sons, Troy M. (Mary) King, Jr. of Lakeview, Clifford D. (Yu?Nae) King of Atlanta, Georgia, Michael D. (Jill) King of Beecher, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Troy M. King, III, Kathleen King, Eric King, Matthew King, Byron King, Melissa King, Jeanie Andrasco, and Michael King, Jr.; four great grandchildren, Shelby and Cade Andrasco, and Charlotte and Braden King; one brother, Kenneth B. (Phyllis) King of Madison, Mississippi. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Grover. Visitation: Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: A graveside funeral service for Troy Marvin King, Sr. of Mountain Home, will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 12, 2007 at Kirby?s Tucker Memorial Cemetery with Alley-White American Legion Post #52 providing Military Honors. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Alley-White American Legion Post #52.
