Deep in our hearts, a memory is kept of a loved one lost and shall never forget. Ursala Irene Morgan of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away on July 8, 2024, in Branson, Missouri, at the age of 89 Years. She was born November 15, 1934, in Vermilion County near Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Jacob Harlan and Elizabeth Adra Trueman Mertz. Irene graduated from Charleston High School in 1952 and married Edgar Wayne Morgan on July 4, 1953. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2013. 


Irene worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Company and Spurgeons and J.C. Penny department stores. After moving to Arkansas in 1984, she worked for Hospice of the Ozarks. She was also a home maker and when not tending to her children and grandchildren, she did day care for other children in her home. She enjoyed reading, writing, shopping, playing canasta, and antiquing.


Irene is survived by her son, Timothy Morgan of Pueblo, CO; daughter, Tonia (Larry) Peyton of Sunnyvale, CA; three grandchildren, Brett, Amanda, and Velvet; and great-grandchild, Zahara. She was the tenth child from a family of 11 and was the last surviving member, as she was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and all ten of her brothers and sisters. 


A Graveside Funeral Service for Ursala will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. In her memory and honor of her cats, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society, 2837 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, Branson, MO 65616, https://bransonhumanesociety.com/. Her cats will reside at the Branson Cat Cafe, Mochas and Meows. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services - Mountain Home, Arkansas.
