Valerie Lynn Cawthan

Valerie Lynn Cawthan of Gassville, Arkansas, passed away February 23, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 70. She was born December 29, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Lowell and Ethel Shusher Greer. She served in the United States Army and retired from the Texas Department of Correction. Valerie lived in Gassville, AR, since moving from Huntsville, TX, in 2008. She was a lifetime member of the Cotter VFW Auxiliary #5742. She enjoyed collecting knick-knacks, antique cookware and playing bingo with her friends.

Valerie is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Cawthan of Huntsville,TX and ex-husband, Carlos Cawthan, of Gassville, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Graveside Service for Valerie will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Hillgrove Cemetery in Miamisburg, Ohio.
