A Funeral Service for Valton Clyde Murphy of Gepp, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at the Healy Chapel, Aurora, Illinois. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time, at Healy Chapel. Valton passed away July 25, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 71. He was born March 9, 1941, in Dumas, Mississippi, the son of Clyde and Vergie Lee Murphy. He married Margie Otto on October 7, 1961, at Aurora, Illinois, where they lived for 45 years, before moving to Gepp in 2006. He worked as a machinist for Spraying Systems in Wheaton, Illinois. Valton was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was of the Baptist faith. Valton is survived by his wife, Margie Murphy of Gepp, AR; son, Mike Murphy of Gepp, AR; daughter, Valerie Wesby of Ottawa, IL; two sisters, Charleen (James) Sanford of Junction City, KS and Denise (Kevin) Forest of San Jose, CA; two sister-in-laws, Shelby Murphy of Yorkville, IL and Norma Faxon of St. Charles, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Martha Hodges and brother-in-law, Linwood, two brothers, Robert and Tommy Lee Murphy. Burial will be in the Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Aurora, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Dr., Mountain Home, AR 72653.
