Velma "Irene" Jeffery

A Celebration of Life for Velma "Irene" Jeffery of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, January 18, 2019, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Joshua Passmore officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service.
Irene passed away January 15, 2019, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 93. She was born June 8, 1925, in Calico Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of James Andrew and Lissie Cumi Foster Pruitt. She married O.M. "Jake" Jeffery on November 27, 1943, in Calico Rock, Arkansas and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and bird watching. She was a volunteer at the thrift store at the Norfork Food Bank for several years. She had a loving and caring heart. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Irene is survived by her five daughters and one son, Linda (Carrol) Stowers of Kansas City, MO, Carolyn (Danny) DeVore of Gassville, AR, Velma (Danny) Ward of Mountain Home, AR, Brenda (Tommy) Knight of Mountain Home, AR, Larry (Debra) Jeffery of Mountain Home, AR and Jacquelyn Lee of Mountain Home, AR; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two children.
