Velma White

A funeral service for Velma O'Dell White of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13,2012, at the Kirby and Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joe Haley, officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the Funeral Home. Velma passed away June 9, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 81. She was born March 1, 1931, in Octogon, Alabama, the daughter of Richard Nollie and Odessa Foxhall Burge. She married Don White in September 1974 in Demopolis, AL and was a homemaker. Velma lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 2005 moving from Demopolis, AL. She enjoyed gardening, her church and her grandkids. Velma is survived by 2 daughters; Charlotte (Al) Wynne and Kay Hendley both of Mountain Home, AR; 6 grandchildren; Shayna, Rosemary, and Ali Wynne, Rita Montelongo, Michael (Sara) Hendley and Jason (Elizabeth) Hendley, 4 great grandchildren; Kayla (Michael) Milner, Aaron and Cesarah Montelongo and Madison Hendley. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 great granddaughter Miranda Milner, 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Memorials may be made to CARTI of Mountain Home.
