Vernice Richards

Vernice Richards died Saturday, March 28, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 96. Vernice was born Tuesday, August 13, 1912 in Hutchison, Kansas, daughter of Chester and Lottie Alexander DeVol. She married James M. Richards on October 4, 1936 at Chesterton, Indiana. She worked as an Office Clerk. Vernice lived in Mountain Home for 29 years moving from Valparaiso, Indiana. Survivors: Mrs. Richards is survived by her daughter, Janice (Francis) Stone of Mountain Home, AR, Grandson, Stephen Berrier of Terre Haute, IN, Granddaughter, Christine Kingery of San Antonio , TX, 4 great grandchildren: Joshua Kingery, Michelle Watford, Autumn Berrier, Elliot Berrier, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Richards, her parents, and 1 sister. Funeral: A Memorial Service for Vernice D. Richards of Mountain Home, AR, will be 10:00 am Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services, with Reverend Sara Gotchell officiating. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church.
