He was born October 15, 1946, at Pine City, Minnesota, the son of Bernard and Margaret Anderson Schultz. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and worked as a gunsmith. He lived in Flippin for eight years, moving from Hinckley, Minnesota.
Vernon is survived by his two sons, John and Steven Schultz and his siter, Beverly Nowling.
