Funeral Services for Vernon "Vern" Tott of Mountain Home, AR, will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Kirby Funeral Chapel, with Reverend Jerry Stroebel officiating, military honors by VFW Post 3246 Honor Guard.
Mr. Tott died Friday, July 31, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 65. He was born Tuesday, April 18, 1944 in Souix City, Iowa, son of William G. and Julia (Rack) Tott. Vern was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Green Beret, and his working life was spent in Nusrsing Home Administration and consultation. He married Bernie Tott on June 14, 1998 at Plato, Missouri, and they have lived in Mountain Home for 10 years, moving from Kansas City, Missouri. He was a loving and caring man who devoted his life to the welfare of others, enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and the outdoors, and will be dearly missed by those who loved him.
Vern Tott is survived by his wife, Bernie Tott; Sons, Kurtis Tott of Auburn, Washington, and Kevin Tott; Daughters, Rose Allen and April Quick of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Brothers, Harold "Shorty" Tott of Sioux City, Iowa and William Tott of Waldon, Missouri; Sisters, Julianne (Bernie) Anderson of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Barbara (Harold) Reed of Howton, Texas; grandchildren: Kare Adams, McKenzie Allen, and Phillip, Tiffani, and Tabitha Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
