Veronica Jean Zabel Anderson, lovingly known as Connie, Mom, Sis, Gram, Meme and Queenie, went Home to the Lord, November 23, 2023, at the age of 92.
Veronica was born the oldest of seven children to Leslie and Elizabeth Zabel, on May 15, 1931. She grew up in Montana, Illinois and North Dakota until she met the love of her life, Edmond Anderson.
Veronica married Eddie on June 12, 1949 and was blessed with two daughters and a son; Deborah Parsons, Connie Chapman, and Greg Anderson.
Everyone close to her knew her love for yard work and flowers. She blessed so many with her crochet afghans and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was also an avid card and dice player.
Veronica will be extremely missed by her daughters; Deborah Parsons and Connie Jo (Raymond) Chapman; brothers, Allen (Jackie) Zabel, Gary (Clarice) Zabel, Robert (Linda) Zabel, John (Donna) Zabel; grandchildren, Theresa (Jeff) Kincade, Rosalynn (Randy) Clifton, Jennifer (Mark) Nichols, Joshua Anderson and Katee (Daniel) Hernandez; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great granddaughters. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Veronica is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edmond; son, Greg Anderson; sister Joan Frank; brother Kenneth Zabel; and son-in-law Roger Parsons.
Private services will be held in Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be sent to Hospice of the Ozarks.
