Funeral Services for Vida Marie Bowers of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Mountain Home Church of Christ, with Brother Wayne Camp and Brother Ken Burton officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Vida died Monday, May 23, 2011 at Pine Lane Health Care, at the age of 93. She was born October 31, 1917 in Thayer, Missouri, the daughter of Harry and Ethel Duncan Crase. She married Walter Woodrow Bowers on September 17, 1932 at Lake City, Arkansas and was a homemaker. Vida was a lifetime Arkansas resident. She was a member of the Mountain Home Church of Christ and was an avid gardener and seamstress. She loved to quilt and read her bible. Vida is survived by her 3 daughters, Betty (Claud) Smith of Jonesboro, AR, Berniece Rogers of Van Buren, AR and Carolyn (Wayne) Camp of Mountain Home, AR; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Vada Durso of Fl. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son, Bill, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Burial will be in the Baxter Memorial Gardens with Ken Wiles, Chris, Lloyd, Kyle, L.D. and David Camp as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Paragould Children's Home.
