Vincent "Ben" Thomas Lane

Vincent "Ben" Thomas Lane of Lakeview, Arkansas, passed away March 6, 2023, at his home at the age of 71. He was born June 24, 1951, in Mendota, IL, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Loni Lane. He married the love of his life, Diana Hibbs on March 17, 2012, in Sebastian, FL and worked as a farmer and an over the road trucker. Ben lived in Lakeview since moving from Arizona in 2022. He was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose. Ben knew every word to every John Wayne movie ever made and enjoyed gardening, fishing in Colorado and his motorcycle. He will be remembered as the kindest, most forgiving and honest man you ever met.

Ben is survived by his loving wife, Diana Lane of Lakeview, AR; daughter, Kimberly Lane of Rochelle, IL, step-daughters, Tammy Ortiz of Muscatine, IA, Corina Booth of Rolla, MO and Treasa (Watson) Harris of Muscatine, IA; brother, Mark (Treasa) Lane of Earlville, IL; brother-in-law, Tom Longbine of Mobile, Alabama; sisters, Patricia (Dennis) Flaherty of Davenport, IA, Paula Jones (Don) of Davenport, IA and Loretta (Ed) McConville of Greer, SC., and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Susan Lane-Doty and son-in-law, Brad Booth.
