Violet Wilkey

Violet Wilkey died Saturday, March 7, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 84. She was born Friday, November 21, 1924 in Joliet, Illinois, the daughter of Robert Anderson and Anna Augusta Louise Schwab Freeman. She married Stanley Wilkey on April 14, 1958 and worked in Administration for the University of Illinois. Violet lived in Flippin since 1984 moving from Champaign, Illinois. She was a jewelry maker and sold her items at craft fairs. Survivors: Violet Wilkey is survived by her 3 sons, Michael Wilkey of Flippin, AR, Herschel Brimm of Urbana, IL and Webb Wilkey of Champaign, IL., daughter, Roberta Brimm Benner of Orlando, FL, 2 granddaughters, 1 great-granddaughter and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Wilkey. Funeral: A Gathering of Friends for Violet L. Wilkey of Flippin, AR, will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home - Bull Shoals. Burial: Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
