Violet Winsauer died Saturday June 13, 2009 at Hospice House of the Ozarks. She was 97 years old. Violet was born in Des, Plaines, Illinois to John Carle and Rose Hanus. She married Everett Winsauer in Des Plaines, Illinois on August 28, 1936. Violet was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother who was devoted to the caring of her family. Violet was a member of Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church, a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Des Plaines, Illinois and a member of the Dorcas Society. She moved to Lakeview in 1999 from Des Plaines and joined the Community Center in Lakeview and the Lakeview Ladies Lunch Group. She continued her life long commitment to hard work by quilting and crocheting for several area charities. Survivors: Violet is survived by one son, Grant Winsauer(Sherry) and one daughter, Dawn Lowe(Richard) both of Lakeview, Arkansas, four grandchildren, Gregory Lowe (Debbie) of Woodbury, Minnesota, Cindy Ball(Larry) of Mount Prospect, Illinois, David Winsauer of Lake in the Hills, Illinois and Laura Decker(Ron) of Auburn, Georgia, one sister Gertrude Whitton of Des Plaines, Illinois, ten great grandchildren; Amy, Cameron, Daniel, Emma, Eric, Grant, Mathew, Max, Michael and Steven. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister. Visitation: Visitation will be from 10AM until time of service. Funeral: A funeral service for Violet C. Winsauer will be Wednesday June 17, 2009 at 11AM at Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Mattson officiating. Burial: Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois on Monday June 22, 2009. Memorials: Memorials may be made to Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church in Bull Shoals or the Pregnancy Resource Center of Mountain Home.
