Virgil Morris

Virgil LeRoy Morris of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away November 24, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 91. He was born January 31, 1932, in Anthony, Kansas, the son of Hugh and Lena Meeks Morris. He married Ruth Niblack on June 3, 1949, in Wichita, Kansas. Virgil and Ruth moved to Shell Knob Missouri in 2000 to semi-retire and enjoy life on the lake, before settling in the Mountain Home area. They were married for 70 years before his beloved Ruth passed away in 2019. Virgil especially enjoyed family and golfing.

Virgil is survived by his three sons, Dennis (Donna) Morris of Wichita, KS, James (Linda) Morris of Mountain Home, AR, and Gregory (Janis) Morris of Shell Knob, MO; two grandsons, Mark (Angie) Morris and Brian (Christy) Morris; granddaughter, Tammy (Jamie) Albrecht and five great-grandchildren, Holden, Morgan, Kelly, Ty, and Summer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

A Memorial Service for Virgil will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Elroy Tesch officiating.
