Virgil L. Newberry was born March 30, 1936 in Holland, Missouri. he was the son of Leonard and Lottie Cooper Newberry. He married Wanda Eagan on November 3, 1967 in Southaven, Michigan. He owned Virgil's Towing for thirty-two years and formerly drove a Pepsi truck. Mr. Newberry lived in Gassville for twenty-nine years, moving from Southaven, Michigan where he was a volunteer fireman. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the National Guard for three years. He was also a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church. Virgil L. newberry passed away at Baxter Regional Medical Center on September 21, 2005, at the age of 69 years, 5 months and 21 days.
