Virginia Bartos

A Celebration of Life for Virginia M. Bartos of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 20, 2009 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Virginia Bartos died Friday, July 17, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 77. She was born Friday, April 22, 1932 in Hinsdale, Illinois, the daughter of Ernest and Marion Bobek Bartos. Virginia earned a Bachoelor's Degree in Political Science at Washburn University. She worked as a Administrative Assistant in Employee Benefits for CBI Industries. Virginia lived in Mountain Home since 1982 moving from Brookfield, Illinois. She was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority, Washburn University Alumni Association, Mountain Home Welcome Wagon and Alumni, Mountain Home Women's Club, Twin Lakes Golf Club, Humane Society of North Central Arkansas, Van Matre Senior Center Pinochle Club, ACBL and the Twin Lakes Little Theater. Virginia Bartos is survived by her 2 cousins, Dr. Susan C. Bobek of Florence, AL and Raymond (Sandy) Bobek of Mesa, AZ and special friends, Anne Darnell, Mae Ott and Laura (Tim) Ryan. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House or charity of choice.
