Virginia Eunice Armstrong Cook of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away June 9, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 91. She was born January 17, 1930, in Longmont, Colorado, the daughter of Claughton and Olive Beadle Armstrong. She married Arlo on December 17, 1950, in Longmont. Virginia moved to Mountain Home in 2004 with her daughter and family. Her heart always belonged to the Rocky Mountains and Longmont, Colorado. She centered her life on her family, but the love of music and dance never left her and was an avid reader in later years. She became interested in the history of our country and regretted waiting so late in life to read about it, as it was most interesting and educational; makes one appreciate what our forefathers went through to make our country what it is. She enjoyed going out to lunch with friends, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Parrack of Mountain Home, AR; son, Brian Cook of Pomona, CA; grandchildren, Sam Parrack of Mountain Home, AR, Kaitlyn Cook and Dawn Cook of Eastvale, CA; nephews, Mark (Jane) Mariotti of Arvada, CO, Les (Kathy) Mariotti of Granbury, Texas, and Ned (Dianna) Mariotti of Nevada City, CA; six great-nephews, one great-niece, and numerous great-great nieces and nephews; as well as numerous nephews and nieces on the Cook side of the family and a cousin, Frances Arthur of West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Mary Francis (Charles) Mariotti; and son-in-law, Jay Parrack.
A Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm, June 15, 2021 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. David Johnson officiating.
