Virginia Mae Davis, 92, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Virginia was born on July 4, 1931, in Oswego, Illinois, to Paul and MinnieHasz Christophersen. She began working as a pin setter for a bowling alley in Illinois, where she met the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Davis. They were married on July 28, 1976 in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. They moved to Mountain Home in 1977. They opened the Mountain Home Machine Shop.Virginia loved bowling and was awarded much recognition for her talent as a bowler. She enjoyed tatting, entering many of her creations in the County fair where she won several ribbons. She was a long-time volunteer in Mountain Home for several causes and organizations, her favorite being the Christmas Wish Foundation. She was happiest outdoors and had beautiful gardens around her family’s home, being especially fond of roses. Virginia was a religious woman who had a heart full of love for God, family and friends. She had an outgoing, spunky personality and had an easy way of connecting with people. She was a great listener and always willing to help those in need.
Virginia is survived by her seven children, Debbie (Daniel) Lindholm of Mountain Home, AR, Cathy (Chris Krug) Osborn of Mountain Home, AR, Jennie Pepitone of Mountain Home, AR, Roberta Wood of Chicago, IL, Georgann (Ralph) Sherman of Hawaii, Paul Werner of Mountain Home, AR, son, Sammy (Susan) Davis of Mountain Home, AR; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by parents; husband; daughters, Vicky Werner and Jean Ann Thompson; sister; and brother, Roy Christophersen.
Visitation will be Friday, October 20, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 10:00 am at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Speer officiating. Entombment will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Jesse Brison, Daniel Lindholm, Chris Brison, Chris Krug, Philip Webber, and Dean Proctor as pallbearers.
Memorial donations may be made in Virginia's name to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
