Virginia Harriet Geery

Funeral Services for Virginia H. Geery of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00am, Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Twin Lakes Baptist Church, with Dr. Sam Bailey officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00am until time of service at the church.

Virginia went home to be with the Lord, March 2, 2016, in Mountain Home at the age of 92. She was born February 12, 1924, in Lyons, Illinois, the daughter of Edward and Dora Taeschler Fischer. She married Walter L. Geery Sr. on August 30, 1947, at Riverside, Illinois and was a homemaker. Virginia lived in Mountain Home since 1985, moving from Westmont, Illinois. She was a very active member of the Twin Lakes Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, bird watching, baking and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Virginia is survived by two sons, Walter (Robbie) Geery, Jr. of Mountain Home, AR and Paul (Debra) Geery of Riverside, IL; one daughter, Kathleen Geery of Mountain Home, AR; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and two more on the way; sister, Pauline Geery of Mountain Home, AR and sister-in-law, Jeanie Fischer of Mountain Home, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one great-grandchild, Jaycee Hardin; two brothers, Lee and Glenn Fischer and three sisters, Ruth Hanke, Jane Murphy and Nancy Polhorsky.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
