Virginia Youell Parks was born February 18, 1925 at Covington, Kentucky the daughter of John and Elizabeth Dunham Youell. She married Thomas E. Parks October 5, 1943 at Lakewood, Ohio. She worked as a secretary at Holy Cross Hospital for 17 years. She lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida until moving to Mountain Home in June of 1981. Mrs. Parks enjoyed sewing, cooking her favorite recipes from The Food Network, and listening to music. She also liked spending time with the ?Oldies? group for luncheons and many outings. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Survivors: Mrs. Parks is survived by 2 sons, Robert T. (Rita) Parks, of Boca Raton, Florida and David A. (Christine) Parks, of Midway, Arkansas, 1 daughter, Alison R. (Richard) Hester of Mountain Home, 1 grandson, Alex J. Hester, 2 granddaughters, Tamara S. DeCosta and Chelsea A Parks, and 1 great-granddaughter, Jillyan Reese. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral: Memorial services for Virginia Youell Parks will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday July 1, 2006 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Kenneth Taglauer officiating. Mrs. Parks died Saturday June 24, 2006 at Hospice House in Mountain Home. Burial: Burial will be private. Memorials: Memorials may be made to Hospice House in Mountain Home.
