Vivian Steffens

Vivian M. Steffens was born on December 19, 1915 at Chicago, Illinois to Melville and Emma Schiedler Cowan. She married Leroy Boese, June 29, 1946 in Chicago and later married Ray Steffens on May 19, 1990 in Bull Shoals. She was a homemaker and lived in the Mountain Home area after moving from California in 1971. She was a member of Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church. She died Sunday, June 20, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Village at the age of 88 years, 6 months and 1 day. Survivors: One Daughter; Arlene Plamer and husband Bob of Dwight, Illinois, 4 grandchildlren; Bruce Palmer of Kempton, Ill, Susan Newbury of Pontiac, Ill, Sharon Payne of Harrisburg, Ill. and Barbara Palmer of Plainfield, Ill., 7 great grandchildren and one Sister Lorraine Triemstra of Mountain Home, Arkansas. Preceded in Death by: Parents, Husbands Leroy Boese and Ray Steffans. Funeral: Memorial Services were held on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at the Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Mattson officiating. Burial: Mountain Home Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: Alzheimers Association.
