Walter Bodie

Walter Bodie, Jr. died Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 81. He was born Tuesday, August 9, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, son of Walter E. and Luella Fricke Bodie. He married Rita May Johnson on June 20, 1976 at Matthews, Virginia. He worked as a book binder for Universal Press. Walter lived in Mountain Home since 1992 moving from Chicago, Illinois. Survivors: Walter Bodie, Jr. is survived by 2 sons, Lonny and brian Bodie, 4 daughters, Laurie Rupinski, Bobbi Krol, Cindi Bodie and Dawn Truce, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and sister, Rita Eggemeyer and brother Melvin Bodie. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 sisters, Elaine and Ardella, 2 brothers-in-law, James Larson and Lewis Jennings. Funeral: Memorial services for Walter Edward Bodie, Jr. of Mountain Home, AR, will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2009 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with Reverend Larry Olson officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
