Walter Claude Robey

Walter Claude Robey of Cypress, Texas, passed away September 27, 2021, at the age of 80. He was born September 25, 1941, in Zionsville, Indiana, the son of Claude and Mary Middleton Robey. He married Joyce Heidrick on January 23, 1971, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and was a staff system analyst for Shell Oil Company for 34 years. Walter retired from Houston to Bull Shoals in 1998. Recently, he moved to Texas for health reasons and to be closer to his sons. He enjoyed fishing, puzzles, baseball, basketball, working outdoors, and remodeling.

Walter is survived by his sons, Michael (Melissa) Robey of Houston, TX, Scott (Teresa) Robey of Houston, TX, and Mark (Trena) Shoemaker of Sheridan, IN; daughter, Susan (Shoemaker) Ford of Zionsville, IN; four sisters, Rosalie Bortlein, Bonnie (Wayne) Davis, Rita Mayfield, and Melanie (Terry) Robey; four grandsons, Daniel, Mikah, Cody, and Ethan; 2 granddaughters, Brianna and Mikayla; and 1 great grandson, Harrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister Madelyn Dillon.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 3, 2021, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals, Arkansas. A Funeral Service for Walter will be 10:00 am, Monday, October 4, 2021, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals. Burial will be in the Newton Flat Cemetery, Bull Shoals, Arkansas. Due to current restrictions, masks are required.
