Wayne E. Cooper was born August 19, 1931, in Clear Lake, South Dakota, to Charles and Amelia Lutterman-Cooper. He married Rosemarie M. Stalcar on June 19, 1954 in Waukegan , Illinois. Wayne Cooper was a U.S. Army Korean War Era Veteran and also served in Germany during the Berlin Air Lift. Wayne Cooper lived in the Twin Lakes Area for 46 years after moving from Waukegan, Illinois. He was a masonary contractor and the Owner, Founder and former operator of Cooper and Son Construction, which his son Charlie continues to operate. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. #3246 and a member American legion Post #52. He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Wayne loved to garden, Play pool, He was an avid fisherman and loved to fish in Northern Minnesota and Canada. He was a collector of fishing memorabilia and always enjoyed his annual family camping trip to the Buffalo River. He was a craftsman who loved his work and took great pride in it. Wayne Cooper was a true patriot who loved his country. He died on Monday, October 30, 2006 at Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 11 days. Survivors: his wife: Rosemarie Cooper of Midway; 3 Sons: Charles and Bonnie Cooper of Mountain Home, Eldon and Lynette Cooper of Lakeview and Russell and Kelly Cooper of Piedmont, MO; 2 Daughters: Laura and Scott Rouse of Mountain Home and Carol and Greg Hoyt of Perry, AR; 16 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Faye and Ralph Adams of Midway and Betty Finn of Gurnee, Illinois, 1 lifetime friend: Charlie Washburn of Waukegan, Illinois. Preceded in Death by: his parents, 1 brother: Dale, 1 sister: June and his stepfather Russell Neargarder. Visitation: from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral: Funeral service for Wayne E. Cooper of Midway, Arkansas will be at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, November 2, 2006 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Taglauer officiating. Burial: Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery with North Central Arkansas Veteran's Council, Alley White American Legion Post 52, Honor Guard providing military honors. Memorials: Redeemer Lutheran Church Family Life Center.
